💛 Hospice care needs your support more than ever.
A new national report has shown something we at St Barnabas House see every day — more people than ever need end‑of‑life care, but the funding to provide it simply isn’t keeping up.
CEO Stuart Palma said:
“Demand for care is rising fast, but funding isn’t. Hospices are being asked to bridge an ever‑widening gap — and we cannot do this alone.”
Hospices care for hundreds of thousands of people each year, helping families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. When services are cut, more people end up in hospital, often against their wishes.
Everyone deserves dignity and choice at the end of life.
We urgently need:
🔹 A clear definition of core services
🔹 A fair, sustainable funding model
🔹 Recognition of the essential value hospice care provides
