“My beautiful boy Beau was born 10 weeks early in September 2021. During the first six weeks of his life, he suffered a double lung collapse and pneumonia. Twice we were told to say our goodbyes.
“Doctors diagnosed him with a rare condition known as congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS). It means my son cannot breathe unaided while he sleeps. Just a short nap could be fatal. At three months old, Beau had to have a tracheostomy, and we knew that our lives would never be the same.” 💛
